Department of Restorative DentistryIt was established on May 14, 2522 with the first objective of its establishment to be an agency responsible for teaching at the undergraduate level in dental restoration and root canal treatment, providing dental services in dental restoration and root canal treatment, and being an agency and a center for providing knowledge to other agencies, especially in the Northeast region in the aforementioned area. Later in 2537, the Department of Restorative Dentistry opened a graduate-level program, which is the Graduate Diploma Program in Endodontics. The program was closed in 1. Later in 2549,
The Department of Restorative Dentistry has opened a Master of Science program in Restorative Dentistry. In 2556, the 5 Master of Science programs were combined for ease of administration under the name of Master of Science Program in Dentistry, Major in Restorative Dentistry until the present. Currently, the Department of Restorative Dentistry has 14 faculty members, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pathama Chailertvanichkul as the Head of the Department of Restorative Dentistry.

Progress-Pride

Established the Master of Science Program in Dentistry, Major in Restorative Dentistry, which is the first and only program in Thailand that combines teaching in both restorative dentistry and endodontics. The program is taught in the form of lectures, training in research and laboratory skills, providing treatment to real patients in the clinic, including treatment planning for each patient, small group seminars, presenting case studies of patients in both restorative dentistry and endodontics, presenting work, conducting research and publishing work in national and international journals, and having a thesis advisor, scholarships, research grants, and student development by supporting participation in training and various academic conferences. In addition, the program has signed an MOU with the University of Western Australia, Australia, allowing students to attend academic conferences and invite lecturers to lecture, inspect, and provide thesis advice.

Innovation-Textbook

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pattama Chailertwanichkul and her team have formed a research group on Thai propolis extract (bee glue). They have registered a patent for the Thai propolis product under the name “Tooth Tissue Sealing Gel” in 2558 and written the book “Maintaining Tooth Viability” in 2561.
