A team of dental students from Khon Kaen University won first place in the 1st HED+kathon competition, reflecting their potential in innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, congratulates the student team "Knowing the Face, Not the Steps" for winning first place at the 1st HED+kathon competition, organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, under the 1st HED PLUS KKU project (Health Professional Education Development + Research and Innovation).

The team consists of:

  • Ms. Pitipat Pentamwa, a 5th-year student.
  • Mr. Peerapat Matra, a 4th-year student.
  • Ms. Apisara Khamchiang, a 4th-year student.
  • Ms. Mutita Rujivipat, a third-year student.
  • Ms. Apasra Suthikul, a third-year student.

A standout project by the team is “Intermedix,” a simulation game for healthcare science professionals focused on enhancing knowledge, developing practical skills in real-world situations, and fostering effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

The team participated in the Final Pitching round on April 25, 2569, amidst intense competition from various faculties and institutions, including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Medical Technology, Faculty of Engineering, International College, Khon Kaen University, and the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University.

HED+Kathon KKU: Pitching, Mini-Workshops, and Student Networking, organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, under the first HED PLUS KKU project (Health Professional Education Development + Research and Innovation), aims to provide opportunities for multidisciplinary students in health sciences and other fields nationwide to brainstorm, develop innovations, and solve problems in health education, aligning with the sustainable direction of medical and public health education at both national and international levels.

This achievement reflects the potential of students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, who possess well-rounded abilities in academics, innovation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—essential skills for developing the future healthcare system.
