ทีม “นอนแซ่บ” เครื่องมือลดการกรนและภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับ (Obstructive sleep apnea: OSA) คว้า รางวัลระดับนานาชาติจากการประกวดสิ่งประดิษฐ์ในงาน The 8th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2025 จัดขึ้นวันที่ 11–13 มิถุนายน 2568 ณ นครเซี่ยงไฮ้ สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน
ทีมนักวิจัยผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ ทันตแพทย์หญิงคัทฬิยา เลาหพจนารถ และทันตแพทย์หญิงชลลดา ชำนัญมนูญธรรม นักศึกษาทันตแพทย์ประจำบ้าน สาขาทันตกรรมบดเคี้ยวและความเจ็บปวดช่องปากใบหน้า ภายใต้การดูแลของ ผศ.ดร.ทพญ.สุพรรณิการ์ เรืองศรี อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาจากสาขาวิชาชีวเวชศาสตร์ช่องปาก คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ทั้งนี้ “นอนแซ่บ” เคยคว้ารางวัลมาแล้วจากเวที Thailand i-New Gen Inventors Award 2025 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 2–6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 ณ ศูนย์นิทรรศการและการประชุมไบเทค บางนา โดยได้รับรางวัลเหรียญทอง และรางวัลชนะเลิศในกลุ่มสุขภาพและการแพทย์ระดับอุดมศึกษา
จุดเริ่มต้นของนวัตกรรมนี้ มาจากโครงการวิจัยของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีเมื่อปี 2563 ที่มีการพัฒนาและต่อยอดอย่างต่อเนื่องจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น จนสามารถนำไปใช้จริงในคลินิกความเจ็บปวดใบหน้าช่องปากและทันตนิทราเวช คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในปี 2567 นับเป็นการสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นและศักยภาพของงานวิจัยที่พัฒนาไปสู่การใช้งานทางคลินิกได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
ซึ่งในครั้งนี้ทีม “นอนแซ่บ” คว้ารางวัล NRCT Special Award พร้อมถ้วยรางวัลจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม และรางวัลเหรียญทอง จากงาน The 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF)
สำหรับงาน “The 8th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2025” เป็นอีกเวทีสำคัญ ภายใต้งาน “The 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair” (CSITF) ที่ได้รับความสนใจจากนักประดิษฐ์ นักวิจัย และนักวิชาการจากนานาประเทศ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดย World Invention Intellectual Property Associations(WIIPA) ร่วมกับหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชนของสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน โดยเป็นงานประกวดและนำเสนอผลงานของนักประดิษฐ์จากประเทศต่างๆ จากทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน มหาวิทยาลัย สถาบันต่างๆ นักวิจัย และนักประดิษฐ์อิสระจากในสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนมณฑลต่างๆ และต่างประเทศ มากกว่า 300 ผลงาน
นอกจากความโดดเด่นทางด้านฟังก์ชันแล้ว “นอนแซ่บ” ยังสะท้อนอัตลักษณ์อีสานผ่านชื่อที่เป็นมิตรและเข้าใจง่าย ซึ่งหมายถึง “การนอนหลับอย่างอร่อยและสบาย” ได้รับการรับรองอนุสิทธิบัตร และได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากกองทุนส่งเสริมวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (Fundamental Fund) ประจำปีงบประมาณ 2565
ความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้เป็นผลจากการทำงานร่วมกันอย่างแข็งแกร่งระหว่างนักวิจัยรุ่นใหม่ อาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และสถาบันพันธมิตร ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และศูนย์เทคโนโลยีโลหะและวัสดุแห่งชาติ (MTEC) โดยมีทีมอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาร่วมหลายท่าน อาทิ รศ.ดร.ทพ.ฑีฆายุ พลางกูร จอร์นส, รศ.ดร.ทพ.จรินทร์ ปภังกรกิจ, รศ.ดร.ทพ.พูนศักดิ์ ภิเศก, ผศ.ดร.ทพญ.รัชฎา ฉายจิต, ศ.ดร.นพ.กิตติศักดิ์ สวรรยาวิสุทธิ์, ผศ.พญ.สุภวรรณ เลาหศิริวงศ์, ผศ.นพ.อภิชาติ โซ่เงิน และ ดร.ยศกร ประทุมวัลย์
นวัตกรรม “นอนแซ่บ” ไม่เพียงสะท้อนความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของคนรุ่นใหม่ แต่ยังเป็นบทพิสูจน์ว่า “งานวิจัยไทยสามารถยกระดับสุขภาพของคนทั้งโลกได้”
“นอนแซ่บ” เป็นก้าวสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมของประเทศไทยให้เป็นที่ประจักษ์ในระดับนานาชาติ ความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้จะเป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำคัญในการพัฒนาต่อยอดผลงานให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของประเทศได้อย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป
“Non-Zaap” Team: An Innovative Tool to Reduce Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Wins International Award at the 8th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2025, held from June 11–13, 2025, in Shanghai, China
The research team behind this outstanding success includes Dr. Cattliya Laohapotjanart and Dr. Chollada Chamnanmanoontham, Residents in the Occlusion and Orofacial Pain, supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Supanigar Ruangsri, faculty advisor from the Department of Oral Biomedical Science, Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University.
“Non-Zabb” had previously won awards at the Thailand i-New Gen Inventors Award 2025, held from February 2–6, 2025, at BITEC Bangna. The team won a Gold Medal and First Prize in the Health and Medical category at the university level.
The origin of Non-Zabb traces back to an undergraduate research project in 2020. Since then, the device has undergone continuous development and refinement across student cohorts, and was implemented in real clinical settings at the Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine Clinic, Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University in 2024. This highlights the team’s dedication and the potential of research to be translated into practical clinical applications.
At this recent event, “Non-Zabb” team was awarded the NRCT Special Award, along with a trophy presented by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, as well as a Gold Medal at the 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF).
The 8th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2025 was part of the 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF), a major platform that drew inventors, researchers, and academics from around the world. It was organized by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) in collaboration with various governmental and private organizations in China. The event showcased over 300 inventions from public and private sectors, universities, institutions, researchers, and independent inventors from different provinces in China and abroad.
Beyond its functional innovation, “Non-Zabb” reflects a strong sense of regional identity through its name, which is friendly and easy to understand, meaning “a delicious and restful sleep.” The invention has been granted a petty patent and received funding from the Fundamental Fund for the fiscal year 2022.
This success is the result of strong collaboration among young researchers, expert faculty members, and partner institutions, including the Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University and the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC). The advisory team also included several professors such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teekayu Plangkoon Jorns, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarin Paphangkorakit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poonsak Pisek, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rajda Chaichit, Prof. Dr. Kittisak Sawanyawisuth, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supawan Laohasiriwong, Asst. Prof. Dr. Apichart so-ngern, and Dr. Yotsakorn Pratumwal.
This innovation is not only a reflection of the creativity of the new generation, but also a testament to the fact that Thai research has the potential to improve global health.
Non-Zabb marks a significant step in driving Thai innovation to be recognized on the international stage. This success will serve as an important inspiration for further development of innovations that will benefit society and the country’s economy in a sustainable way.
